Q8: How can you make Chinese-style Pu-Erh tea from green tea?

A: There are four main types of tea leaf/tea plant in the world, all of these are from the plant family camellia. The main differences in flavor, appearance, and texture result from different methods of fermentation.

Q9: What type of bacteria is used for fermentation?

A: We utilize the special fermentation process and bacteria developed by famous fermentation researcher Denbei Kawamura. As the specifics of this method are a highly guarded trade secret, we cannot divulge all of our secrets! However, we guarantee all of our products to be safely produced, delicious, and of the highest quality.

Q10: Compared to foreign teas, this tea seems light in color...

A: While some may say it is impossible not to have a milder and lighter tea with this fermentation method, and may have a point, the process of making the tea using both the active (effective) and crude bacteria at the same time is messy, time-consuming, and does not allow for the beautiful color and drinkability of our product. With our temperature controlled, well-maintained system, we produce consistently delicious and beautiful tea.
